Trudy’s professional career began in 2003 when she was appointed by Mayor Jane L. Campbell to serve as the Hispanic Liaison for the City of Cleveland. During her tenure at City Hall, she served as the Coordinator of the Second District Police-Community Relations Committee and was later promoted to Project Coordinator for the Department of Community Relations. In May 2006, Trudy was hired as Director of Educational Programs at Esperanza, Inc., a Cleveland nonprofit organization that provides education, support, and scholarships to Northeast Ohio Hispanic students as well as their families. From 2008 to 2011, she served as Coordinator of Student Outreach and Retention at Cuyahoga Community College, a dual role that involved being the Districtwide Coordinator of the Hispanic Council and assisting with recruitment and retention initiatives at the college’s Western campus. 

Trudy was inducted into the 2003 Kaleidoscope Magazine Hispanic Forty-Forty Club, which spotlights professionals aged 40 and younger who have been recognized for their accomplishments by their peers and mentors. She is a graduate of the 1st Cohort of the Hispanic Alliance Leadership Development Initiative (HALDI) program, which provides professionals and emerging leaders the training and development needed to contribute to the advancement of the community. In November 2011, Trudy and her husband Jose were named “Young Entrepreneurs of the Year” by the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and in May 2012, she completed a 12-week training program through the James H. Walker/Turner School of Construction Management. In April 2017, Trudy graduated from the 14th Cohort of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, where she spent 14 weeks studying a business and management curriculum designed by Babson College, the top-ranked school for entrepreneurial education. Trudy is a past Board Member of the Hispanic Alliance, Esperanza, and LATINA, Inc. She holds an MBA from Cleveland State University, a B.A. with Honors in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College, and a Post-Degree Professional Certificate of Accountancy from Cuyahoga Community College.

Jose is a Journeyman Electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 38 union. He holds an Ohio Electrical Contractor’s license as well as a State Fire Alarms/Detection license, and is trained in NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. He graduated from a 5-year Inside Wiremen apprenticeship program through the Cleveland Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Center (CEJATC) and IBEW Local 38. In November 2011, Jose and his wife Trudy were named “Young Entrepreneurs of the Year” by the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and in May 2012, he completed a 12-week training program through the James H. Walker/Turner School of Construction Management. In October 2016, he successfully completed a Lightning Protection Installation Training course given by Harger Lightning & Grounding and became a UL Listed Lightning Protection System Installer. In March 2017, Jose completed the Emerald Cities Collaborative’s E-Contractor Academy, a 6-week program focusing on how to compete for, win, and perform public- and private-sector energy efficiency and renewable energy retrofit projects across the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan area. He also completed an advanced training program to be a Certified Electric Vehicle Charging Station Installer in May 2017.

Jose earned a Certificate in Culinary Arts from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School.

Sandra joined Alternalite with an extensive amount of office management and coordinating experience. In 2008, she served as a foreign language instructor of 5 languages at Berlitz Languages, Inc. She was soon promoted to Instructional Supervisor, where she focused on training, observing, and further educating language instructors. Sandra was eventually promoted to Language Center Manager, a position she held for the remainder of her time with Berlitz. In 2013, Sandra took on the role as the Language Bank Coordinator at International Services Center (now known as USCRI-Cleveland), a nonprofit organization focusing on resettling refugees in the Greater Cleveland area. There, she was in charge of completely revamping the department, standardizing practices and procedures, interviewing, hiring, training, and managing interpreters, translators, interns, and volunteers, and serving as the main point of contact for all translation and interpretation requests for over 70 different languages.

Sandra holds a B.A. in International Relations from Cleveland State University. In addition to managing the office at Alternalite, she is instrumental in the areas of estimating and project management. 

Marco brings a breadth of knowledge and experience in the business world, specifically related to logistics and supply chain efficiencies. He has excelled in various roles over the last 20+ years encompassing operations, vendor sourcing and relations, purchasing, and sales. In his most recent endeavor, Marco was a three-time President's Award winner for a worldwide logistics leader exceeding yearly sales of $1 million in the Greater Cleveland market. Marco has extensive experience in building and cultivating relationships in a variety of markets where customer service and timely, precise communication is paramount.

Marco holds a B.A. in Logistics and Operations Management from The Ohio State University and is active in volunteering his time with local charities.
